I’m Dr. Patrick Rountree. I studied dentistry at LMU Munich and have been practicing in Munich for more than 25 years. I provide international patients with experienced dental care and something that matters especially in medicine: effortless communication in native English.

Born in the United States, I began my university studies at the University of Maryland before moving to Munich. I studied medicine and then dentistry at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, completing my dental state examination in 1997/98.
From 1998 to 2001, I worked at the Department of Prosthodontics at LMU Munich, with a focus on adhesive and aesthetic prosthodontics, all-ceramic restorations, dental materials and endodontics. I received my doctorate in 2000 and have worked in private practice since 2001.
Today I treat patients at Praxis am Tor, directly at Sendlinger Tor in the center of Munich.
Many dentists in Munich speak English. For international patients, however, there is a difference between being treated in a foreign language and speaking naturally with a native speaker.
You can describe pain, previous treatment, anxiety and expectations in your own words. I can explain findings, alternatives, risks, costs and the next steps in clear English — without the feeling that something may have been lost in translation.
